Draft Genome Sequence of Cellulolytic and Xylanolytic Cellulomonas sp. Strain B6 Isolated from Subtropical Forest Soil
Cellulomonas sp. strain B6 was isolated from a subtropical forest soil sample and presented (hemi)cellulose-degrading activity. We report here its draft genome sequence, with an estimated genome size of 4 Mb, a G+C content of 75.1%, and 3,443 predicted protein-coding sequences, 92 of which are glycosyl hydrolases involved in polysaccharide degradation.
متن کاملRudaibacter terrae gen. nov., sp. nov., isolated from greenhouse soil.
A novel Gram-stain-positive, non-motile, rod-shaped bacterium, designated 5GHs34-4(T), was isolated from greenhouse soil in Yongin, Republic of Korea. Growth occurred in the temperature range of 10-37 °C (optimum 28-30 °C) and at pH 5.0-9.0 (optimum pH 7.0). It can tolerate up to 3 % (w/v) NaCl. The strain showed 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity levels of 95.1-97.0 % with species of the genus ...
متن کاملCellulomonas carbonis sp. nov., isolated from coal mine soil.
A Gram-positive, aerobic, motile, rod-shaped bacterium, designated strain T26(T), was isolated from subsurface soil of Tianjin coal mine, China. Colonies were yellow-white, convex, circular, smooth and non-transparent on R2A agar. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences indicated that strain T26(T) was closely related to members of the genus Cellulomonas and a member of the genus...
متن کاملRothia terrae sp. nov. isolated from soil in Taiwan.
A cream-white-coloured, aerobic, Gram-positive, ovoid to spherical-shaped bacterial strain, designated L-143(T), was isolated from soil in Taiwan. The highest 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities of strain L-143(T) (98.3-95.8%) were with members of the genus Rothia. Chemotaxonomic and phenotypic properties of this organism were consistent with its classification in the genus Rothia. The novel is...
متن کاملPaenibacillus favisporus sp. nov., a xylanolytic bacterium isolated from cow faeces.
During a search for xylan-degrading micro-organisms, a sporulated bacterium was recovered from recent and old cow dung and rectal samples. The isolates were identified as members of a novel species of the genus Paenibacillus, based on 16S rRNA gene sequences. According to the results of phylogenetic analysis, the most closely related species was Paenibacillus azoreducens. Phenotypic and chemota...
